Welcome!

I am a registered social worker with a Master of Social Work and over fifteen years of experience in the field, including more than twelve years working directly as a therapist. I spent the first decade of my career working at a sexual assault centre, supporting survivors of sexualized violence and relational trauma. That work continues to shape the way I approach therapy today, with a strong foundation in relational, trauma-informed care.

After becoming a parent, my work naturally expanded to include a deeper focus on perinatal mental health. I have both lived and professional experience supporting people through pregnancy, postpartum, and the complex emotional shifts that often come with early parenting and family transitions.

I also bring both lived and professional experience with neurodivergence to my work. I have a deep respect for the many different ways people think, process, regulate, and move through the world. I work with clients who are formally diagnosed as well as those who are questioning, exploring, or recognizing themselves through a neurodivergent lens, including people who have spent much of their lives masking or adapting in ways that may have been necessary but also exhausting.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a place where you can simply be human. You don’t need to arrive with the right words or a perfectly organized story. We start wherever you are and work from there.

Clients often tell me they appreciate that sessions feel grounded and real. We can talk seriously about difficult things, but there is also room for humour, curiosity, and the ordinary parts of being human. You are welcome to laugh, swear, cry, sit quietly, or take a moment to gather your thoughts.

Whether you arrive feeling put together or completely overwhelmed, you are welcome here. Ball gown or pyjamas both work! Drink as much coffee or tea as you like. I keep blankets and grounding tools nearby, and we move at a pace that feels thoughtful and manageable.

My work is relational and neurobiologically informed. I work Primarily from EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), along with narrative, mindfulness, body-based, and other practical approaches depending on what is most helpful for you. My hope is to support clients in understanding patterns, processing past experiences, and building ways of relating to themselves and others that feel more supportive and sustainable.
